Vintage Reserve Club members have the special opportunity to purchase our Eroica Single Berry Select from Chateau Ste. Michelle and Dr. Loosen. This ultra rich and concentrated Riesling from the Columbia Valley is only made in years when late season temperatures and weather conditions are precisely correct. In fact, this is the first vintage that has been produced since the 2001 vintage. Because the vineyard yields no more than 20 - 150 cases per vintage, the wine is extremely limited and highly collectible.
Our 2005 Eroica Single Berry Select was released to media critics during our recent Riesling Rendezvous event and has not yet been rated. Previous vintages were rated by Wine Spectator:
- 96 pts. Wine Spectator (2001 Vintage)
- 98 pts. Wine Spectator (2000 Vintage)
- 97 pts. Wine Spectator (1999 Vintage)
This wine will be available for purchase for approximately one year. The 2005 vintage will then be placed in Private Cellar for re-release ten years from vintage date - which is common practice for this rare, collectible wine.
