Shrimp Pasta in Spicy Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 12 oz linguine
- 1 pint grape tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 bulb fennel, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 Tbsp crushed Calabrian chile peppers
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1 (28-oz) can whole peeled tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 2 lb peeled and deveined large raw shrimp
Directions
- Cook pasta according to package directions; drain, and keep warm.
- Meanwhile, cook tomatoes and fennel in hot oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat 3 minutes. Add chile peppers and garlic; cook, stirring, 30 seconds.
- Add wine; cook 2 minutes. Stir in tomatoes and sugar; cook 5 minutes. Add shrimp, and cook 4 to 5 minutes or until shrimp are done. Serve shrimp mixture over pasta.
